Discover Granada from lesser-known viewpoints

When you plan your trip to Granada, you must visit, of course, the monumental Alhambra, walk along the Paseo de los Tristes and enjoy the best tapas...

Granada is magic, poetry, monument... but, do you know the less known places to discover it?

If you are looking for a sunset different from what you have been told, keep reading because this is your post where you will know the little known viewpoints of Granada.

Mirador de la Lona

Located in the lower Albaycin, you can see the eastern part of the city. From the old town you can see the Cathedral. Monasterio de San Jerónimo, the Torre de San Lazaro or Avenida de la Constitucion, for example.

In addition to this hidden viewpoint, you can enjoy this emblematic neighborhood, full of labyrinthine streets and history.

Mirador de la Churra
A place to see the unseen beauty of Granada. From this viewpoint you will have different views of El Albayzín, the city centre, and the coolness of the water as it passes through El Paseo de los Tristes.

Its charm lies not only in the tranquillity and views of the place, but also in the way it is accessed through cobbled streets.

Silla del Moro
If you are looking to see the Alhambra and the Generalife from a different point of view, the Silla del Moro viewpoint is the place to go. To get there, you can go through the cemetery of San José and continue walking.

This site, which was a place that housed a building for the surveillance and protection of the Generalife, has been converted into a great viewpoint of the Nasrid monument.

Mirador de la Vereda de Enmedio

One of the most charming places, and not one of the least known. One of its singularities is that, although it is not situated on the top of a hill but in Sacromonte, you can see impressive views of the city. Also, from here visitors mention the spectacle of colours at sunset.

Hotel Alhambra Palace's Terrace

Get up and have breakfast with the first colours of the day and say goodbye when the sun goes down from a place that has been part of the city of Granada since 1910. This is the terrace of the Hotel Alhambra Palace. Its genuine colour, its shapes, its essence and its location make it a special place to see Granada in an unforgettable way. Undoubtedly, the box of an exceptional palace.

And it is worth climbing the cobbled paths, getting lost in its streets because, as the Mexican poet Francisco de Icaza said:

Dale limosna mujer,

There is nothing in life,

like the pain,

of being blind in Granada.
